I'm in the same boat. I've been accepted into nursing school. Of course FAFSA didn't cover all of my expenses. Everyday I go online and apply scholarships. I have to find a way to pay for nursing school.

I am 38 years old, and attending college for an Associate's degree. It is hard to pay for books and other things while going to school. I have been unemployed for a long time. I have begun to apply for scholarships online about 2 months ago. I began with the www.fastweb.com site. It can get you in the right direction to other scholarships and websites. I graduate in July, but have to have a zero balance on my school account in order to do this. It seems that the scholarships ARE given out to lots of high school students and younger students. What about us older students?

I am 24 years old. I have taken Stafford Loans to pay for school. It is a bit upsetting, because I want to attend Medical school without any debt. Its almost impossible here in NYC. Also, If I wanted to find decent employment- I wouldn't be able to since If i make too much (according to U.S. DOE), which is too little to survive here in the city, my aid will be cut off. No one in NYC can survive making 25k a year, pay 12k in tuition, books, fees, and 1k a month for rent, food, utilities, 104 dollars for monthly metro card.
Its tough for an adult to go back to school
