Eligibility: Applicants must be graduate students pursuing a doctoral degree in dentistry at an accredited US dental school and be graduates of a Gratiot County high school with a preference for Alma High School graduates. Students must demonstrate financial need, academic excellence and high moral character and must provide evidence of service to the community. Applicants must submit an essay on goals as a dental professional and must provide a personal letter of reference from an academic advisor, clergy member or other nonfamily member attesting to community service and high moral character.

Eligibility: Applicants must live in Maryland, and they must be employed full-time by Maryland state or local government or nonprofit organizations that serve low income or underprivileged people. They must have a degree from a Maryland college or from any law school, or certification from the Maryland State Department of Education. Priority is given to individuals who have graduated in the past three years. Applicants must also have college loans on which they have not defaulted, and each person's annual gross salary must be under $60,000. Applicants must work in one of the following positions: lawyers, teachers, nurses, nurse faculty members, physical and occupational therapists, social workers, speech pathologists or physician assistants.

At least 30 percent of each applicant's patients must be from the MMAP program. Applicants must have outstanding loans on which they have not defaulted.

Eligibility: Students must be juniors or sophomores studying full-time for an associate's or bachelor's degree at an accredited two- or four-year institution. They must be U.S. citizens, nationals or permanent residents and be committed to a career related to the environment, tribal public policy or Native American health care. Students must be nominated by a college or university faculty representative and must have a grade point average equivalent to a "B" or higher. Selection is based on demonstrated commitment to the environment, tribal public policy or Native American healthcare. Selection is also based on potential of applicant to make significant contributions, leadership, character, desire to make a difference and demonstration of diverse interests and activities.
