Eligibility: Applicants must be in their third year of study in a four-year program or their fourth year of study in a five-year program at an engineering school in New York State. They must major in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, structural engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, engineering technology or surveying. They must plan to make New York State their home and/or career area. Selection is based on work experience (25 percent), college activities and recommendations (15 percent), essay (30 percent) and GPA (30 percent).

Applicants must be completing a bachelor's degree in nursing associate (RN), nursing, respiratory therapy, teaching or engineering (chemical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental or mechanical) or a transfer program in pre-engineering. Students must be enrolled full-time (12 credits or more per semester during two consecutive semesters beginning in the fall (fall and winter/spring)) OR be enrolled full-time in classes for one semester and practicum for the other semester.
