ACIL Scholarship

Eligibility: Applicants must be college juniors or higher attending a four-year university or graduate school program and must major in physics, chemistry, engineering, geology, biology or environmental science. In addition to the applications, applicants should submit resumes, two recommendation letters, transcripts and any information about other scholarships received.

Dennis Raveling Scholarship

Eligibility: Applicant must be pursuing an advanced degree in wildlife, zoology, botany, ecology or other biological sciences that are related to wetlands ecology. Selection is based on dedication to wetland preservation, high academic achievement and the merit of the project submitted.

Amount: $1,000-$2,000
Deadline: October 31
How to apply: Applicants must send a one-page proposal summary of original research or a management project, a resume, a statement of interest, a letter of support from a faculty member and a list of at least two references to the California Waterfowl Association. There is no formal application form.

Mabel Mayforth Scholarship

Eligibility: Applicants must be Vermont residents who are college juniors, seniors or graduate students and must major horticulture, landscape, design, conservation, forestry, agronomy, plant pathology or biology with a special interest in plants, ecology and allied subjects. They must be full-time students at an accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Previous winners may reapply.

Maine Difference Scholarship

Eligibility: Applicants must be either a high school senior from the state of Maine or a graduate of a Maine high school (within the past four preceding years). Students must attend a college or university also in Maine starting in the fall. Applicants must have studies aimed at the ecology and economics in Maine to help insure that Maine benefits from the education of the student.

Eligibility: Applicants must be U.S. citizens, undergraduate students with senior standing enrolled full-time or graduate students enrolled full-time. Students must major in an area of environmental studies such as, but not limited to, ecology, hydrology, conservation biology, natural resource management, zoology or environmental law and policy. A list of member institutions is online. Applicants must have a 3.5 GPA in environmental conservation coursework and a minimum 3.0 overall.
