Eligibility: Applicants must be members of the Catholic United Financial for at least two years prior to the date of application, have completed high school and be entering their first or second year in any accredited college, university, state college or technical college other than a private, non-Catholic college/university. Those attending a Catholic college are eligible for a $300 award and those attending a non-Catholic college are eligible for a $500 award.

Emmett J. Doerr Memorial Scout Scholarship

Eligibility: Applicants must be practicing Catholics and full-time high school seniors who hold a leadership role in their scouting unit and are actively involved with a Scout Troop, Varsity Scout Team, Venturing Crew or Sea Scout Ship. Students must have provided service to their home parish and earned the Ad Altare Dei or Pope Pius XII Religious Award. Applicants must also have earned the Eagle Scout, Silver Award or Quartermaster Award and must currently hold a leadership role in a community or school organization other than scouting.

Amount: $2,000

Vocations Scholarship Funds

Eligibility: Applicants must be males studying with ecclesiastical approval at a major seminary for a diocese or religious institute in the United States, its territories and Canada. The Father Michael J. McGivney Vocations Scholarship Fund awards scholarships based on financial need, and applicants must provide proof of need. The Bishop Thomas V. Daily Scholarships Fund awards recipients on the basis of merit, and applicants must submit their most recent transcript and two letters of recommendation. Both funds give preference to Knights of Columbus members and their sons, but membership is not required.
